Mining
Mining is the process by which new LUXITE tokens are distributed to users.
How It Works
Each tick (~60 seconds), miners deploy SOL to drills. Each dimension has a unique richness score that determines the probability of a successful excavation.
At the end of each tick:
- A secure random number is generated using Solana's slot hash
- The RNG is compared against the dimension's richness
- If RNG > richness, it's a HIT - miners get their SOL back plus LUXITE rewards
- If RNG ≤ richness, it's a MISS - deployed SOL goes to the treasury
Dimensions
Dimensions are discovered through scanning. Each scan reveals a new dimension with a randomly generated richness score between 0 and 1,000,000,000 (displayed as a decimal 0.000000000 to 1.000000000).
Lower richness = Higher hit chance = Safer mining
| Richness Score | Hit Probability | Risk Level |
|---|---|---|
| 0.148 (~148M) | ~85% | Low |
| 0.500 (~500M) | ~50% | Medium |
| 0.875 (~875M) | ~12% | High |
Think of richness as "how hard is it to find LUXITE here" - a low richness dimension is easier to mine successfully.
Choosing a Dimension
When deciding where to deploy:
- Low richness (0.1 - 0.3) - High hit rate, consistent returns, lower variance
- Medium richness (0.4 - 0.6) - Balanced risk/reward
- High richness (0.7 - 0.9) - Gambling territory, most deploys will MISS
The LUXITE reward is the same regardless of difficulty, so lower richness dimensions are generally more profitable.
Minimum Deployment
A minimum of 0.1 SOL total must be deployed on an excavation for full hit rates. If total deployment is below this threshold, hit probability is penalized proportionally.
This encourages coordination and prevents dust attacks.
Excavations
Each dimension has one excavation per tick. Multiple miners can deploy to the same excavation:
- All miners share the same HIT/MISS outcome
- On HIT, SOL is returned proportionally to deployment
- On HIT, LUXITE is distributed proportionally to deployment
- On MISS, all deployed SOL goes to treasury
LUXITE Emissions
Each successful excavation emits LUXITE from the treasury:
emission = treasury_luxite_balance × 0.01%
This creates a decreasing emission curve - early miners earn more LUXITE per tick.
Checkpointing
After an excavation is processed, miners must checkpoint within 24 hours to claim their rewards. If not checkpointed:
- Rewards are forfeited
- SOL goes to treasury
- Anyone can close the expired excavation
Bots can checkpoint on your behalf (for a small fee) to prevent losing rewards.
Refining
A 10% refining fee is applied to all LUXITE mining rewards when claimed. The proceeds are automatically redistributed to other miners in proportion to their unclaimed LUXITE rewards.
The longer you hold unclaimed LUXITE, the more refined LUXITE you accumulate from others claiming. This incentivizes patient, long-term holders.
